Dream homes two hours from Miami? A Cuban showcases a Florida city with mansions for under $600,000

A Cuban woman in the U.S. showcases affordable mansions in Arcadia, Florida, on TikTok, highlighting the tranquility and space for family activities, sparking a debate on rural versus urban living.

A Cuban from the United States has made waves on TikTok after sharing a video showcasing the tranquility and spaciousness of a residential area in Arcadia, Florida, about two hours from Miami. In her post, @m_a_r_i_l_e_y enthusiastically describes the benefits of living in this area, which many might see as rural, but she highlights as perfect for a peaceful and comfortable life.

"I want you to feel the peace and tranquility of these grand houses. Some even have lakes. What space, what land, and what a serene environment to play with the kids and ride bikes," she comments while driving through the area. The woman highlights the local mansions and their calm surroundings, perfect for raising children or enjoying outdoor activities.

"People say this is a wilderness, but do you really think that someone living here, with that kind of car, can't drive 30 minutes to get anywhere they want? There are some incredible mansions here, I can't even begin to describe them, extremely large, some with space for animals or trucks, and sometimes for less than 600 thousand dollars. Just look at this spectacle, the land, everything," she adds, excited by what she considers affordable prices compared to other more urbanized areas in Florida.

In the comments, her followers quickly reacted, sparking a debate about the advantages and disadvantages of living in more remote areas away from urban centers. Some highlighted the issues related to distance and nighttime safety, noting that these locations can feel isolated when the sun goes down.

"The theme is work," commented a user on the video of m_a_r_i_l_e_y, referring to the potential difficulties of finding employment in rural areas. Others were more critical: "Since it’s wooded, it must be Ocala or Lehigh; at night, it’s terrible." However, there were those who defended the tranquil lifestyle: "To each their own."

Despite the divided opinions, the video has raised awareness among many about the possibility of finding affordable and spacious housing in less central areas of Florida, especially for those who prioritize tranquility, connection with nature, and space for family activities.

The mountain or the city?

The publication reflects a common dilemma for those looking to buy a home: choosing between the convenience of the city or the tranquility of the countryside.

The Cuban who recorded the video concludes with a thought that resonates with her followers: "Can you imagine all that road to ride a bike with your kids? The best part is the prices."
