This Tuesday, November 26, the prices of dollars, euros, and MLC in the Cuban informal market remain unchanged in their average selling rates. It has been like this for many days now...
However, it is noteworthy that in the median values of buying and selling over the last 24 hours, published by the independent media elToque, the dollar has registered an increase of two pesos in both the selling price (330) and the buying price (327).
Ello podría ser indicio de un próximo aumento del valor de venta de la moneda norteamericana, pero hay que esperar para ver si al final se concreta o no.
In the case of the other two currencies, the median shows no change.
As of the closing of this note, the dollar remains pegged at 328 pesos, a rate it reached on November 12th.
In the case of the euro, it has been priced at 345 for an even longer time, since November 4th.
The Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) starts today at 265 CUP, a figure that has remained consistent over the past few months, with only slight variations.

The latest report from the Observatory of Currencies and Finance of Cuba (OMFi) indicated that the worsening of the economic crisis in Cuba has had a "paralyzing effect" on the informal buying and selling of currencies.
"The intensification of the economic crisis in 2024 has had a paralyzing effect on the informal currency market. The reduced volume of tourists, imports, and, in general, the decline in economic activity across all sectors has led to a contraction in both the supply and demand for foreign currency," stated Cuban economist Pavel Vida.
La estabilidad de precio en las últimas semanas de dólares, euros y MLC -marcada por tímidas subidas o descensos de valor- contrasts with the significant changes of the first seven months of 2024.characterized by sudden fluctuations in both price increases and decreases.
