Molina affirmed that his brother, whom he identified as Rolando Leonel Molina Álvarez, was not under the influence of alcohol and always drove cautiously.
According to their account,Rolando was hit from behind by a ZIL 130 (B8) truck, causing him to lose his balance and end up in the opposite lane, where he was struck by a yellow vehicle.
"The truck that hit him fled the scene, and nothing more was heard about it," declared Amarily, who claims to have traveled through La Virgen del Camino looking for witnesses who can provide information about the incident.
Amid this tragedy, the family has also reported the theft of Rolando's belongings following the accident, including his watch, phone, and documents.

According to accounts from users of the Facebook group "Accidentes Automovilísticos en Cuba," the incident occurred when a Peugeot car collided with the motorcycle ridden by Rolando Leonel Molina.
Several internet users provided contradictory accounts in the comments: While some claimed that the motorcyclist skidded and was hit by the Peugeot because there was not enough time to brake, others attributed the accident to a truck, which is the version now confirmed by the victim's sister.
