An accident that occurred on Wednesday night in Havana resulted in one person dead after a car collided with a motorcycle on Calzada de San Miguel, near Virgen del Camino.
The tragic incident was reported in the Facebook group 'Automobile Accidents in Cuba' by a user who shared a video showing images of the accident scene.
According to accounts from users on this social network, the accident occurred when a Peugeot car collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the motorcycle rider suffering fatal injuries.
At the time of writing this note, the causes of the accident and the identity of the deceased motorist are unknown. Neither the authorities of San Miguel del Padrón nor the official press in the capital have reported on this tragic event.
Several internet users provided conflicting accounts in the comments on the posts. While some claimed that the motorcyclist lost control and was hit by the Peugeot because there wasn't enough time to brake, others attributed the incident to a truck.
