Many Cubans residing in the United States are traveling in these final days of the year to spend Christmas with their families on the Island and take the opportunity to bring them aid.

A report by América TeVe on Friday at Miami Airport showcased the large number of Cubans, laden with heavy suitcases, packages, and bags, preparing to board the plane that would take them to Cuba to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones.

Food, clothing, and medications are the main items found in the luggage.

"To Cuba, with all the problems we have there, to help our family and improve their lives and stay," said William Armas.

Otilia Pérez, an elderly woman who appeared joyful about her upcoming reunion with her family in Villa Clara, stated that she only needed to check in one suitcase and a worm.

"Everything is for my family: nougats, which they never get to taste; sweets for the kids, some clothing, like the underwear that’s missing, and all those little things. They need everything over there," he emphasized.

The passenger Lázaro Rodríguez also mentioned that he had been "picking up a few things" to take over there.
