A worker at Fort Lauderdale airport was injured by a flipped small plane following a storm in Broward. He is hospitalized but out of danger, reported the local Fire Department.

A worker at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport was injured this Saturday while helping to lift a small airplane that had been overturned by a storm.

On Friday, a storm caused widespread damage in the southern part of Broward County, Local 10 reported.

Among the damages was the overturned airplane that a towing company was trying to move inside a hangar this Saturday at midday.

When one of the airplane’s wings fell on the worker, causing serious injuries that are not life-threatening.

According to the spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, Frank Guzmán, the worker did not lose consciousness after the accident.

Guzmán did not reveal the age or identity of the worker.

The man was transferred to Broward Health Medical Center.

In early May, a plane accident left a pilot injured in St. John County, Florida.

The incident involving a single-engine aircraft occurred in the town of Hastings, in the mentioned county. The aircraft fell in a field, about 80 kilometers south of Jacksonville, and the pilot sustained minor injuries as a result of the impact.
