Exchange Rate Evolution

The dollar, on the other hand, showed little fluctuation and has been anchored around 420 CUP for several days now, a level that seems to have become its immediate reference.

The euro, which has shown an upward trend since early September, , placing it nearly 60 CUP above the dollar and reinforcing its role as an indicator of the depreciation of the Cuban peso.

The MLC, for its part, experienced a rise of 10 CUP throughout the week, after temporarily dropping to 200, and is now consolidating at 210 CUP.

Although this Saturday shows calm, analysts agree that it is a temporary pause in a market characterized by instability.

The fragility of the Cuban peso and the increasing demand for foreign currency suggest that new tensions could resume in the coming days, confirming that apparent tranquility is not synonymous with real stability.
