A young Cuban developer has amazed thousands on social media by presenting his own video game inspired by the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) saga, but set in Cuba, featuring classic cars, motorcycle taxis, rafts, and street missions in true criollo style.

The creator, known on Instagram as @te_hago_un_juego, explained that since he was little, he dreamed of seeing a GTA set in his island, and since it did not exist, he decided to make it himself.

"It’s a crazy adventure, stealing classic cars, crop-dusting planes, taking rafts out to sea, riding in chivichanas, flying kites, trafficking beef, going on missions to hang up ‘Down with Fidel’ posters, and all that. Since I was a kid, I’ve always dreamed of having a GTA in Cuba, and now I’ve done it," he said in his video, which has already garnered thousands of views and comments.

The project presents a caricatured and critical recreation of life in Cuba, where players can interact with iconic elements of the Cuban urban landscape, such as vintage cars, dilapidated neighborhoods, and even beaches for escaping "on a raft."

Social media users have applauded the initiative, highlighting the young man's ingenuity and the satirical reflection of Cuban reality in his work. Meanwhile, the developer promises to keep showcasing progress on the video game. Would you dare to try this Cuban GTA?
