Venezuelan Carlos Vecchio, representative of opposition leader Juan Guaidó in the United States, has formally requested the US authorities to recover his country's embassy, which since April has been occupied by supporters of Nicolás Maduro, reported The National.

“Since May 1, I have given my consent to recover our embassy. I have already signed all the necessary documents for that. We must remove the invaders. This action is in the hands of the Department of State and the Secret Service,” he announced in a statement shared on social networks.
