The Cuban super prospect Oscar Luis Colás left the Island in the last hours, as confirmed by multiple sources to CyberCuba.

Cólas, 21, made his professional baseball debut in Japan with the Fukuoka SoftBanks Hawks and homered in his first at-bat. That happened in the 2019 season.

For 2020, the Santiago native will not return to Japan. Now the path, after leaving Cuba, is to pursue a million-dollar deal and reach the Major Leagues in the short term.

The left-handed hitter also adds arm power as tools, something that has made him considered a two-way player: a kind of Cuban Shohei Ohtani.

Now Colás will have to go through a third country in search of residency to opt for free agency. Another source from Cuba confirmed the departure to our page this morning.

"Colas is not in the country," he said. "The rumor is positive."
