Univision informs its employees of salary cuts, three weeks without pay and layoffs to face the coronavirus

ChainUnivision announced that they would reduce the salaries of all their executives by 20 to 30 percent, as well as that of their workers who earn more than $35,000, who would have to take three weeks without pay over the next three months.

The television station thus seeks to reduce expenses in the midst of a complicated financial situation due to the coronavirus pandemic, which drastically reduced the number of advertisers. “The company clarified that they can apply for unemployment benefits during those three weeks,” said a source who asked not to be identified.
