Son of a Cuban activist congratulates his detained mother: "I miss you so much that I can hardly sleep anymore"

"Mommy, how can I explain to you. First of all I want to wish you many congratulations on this beautiful day. I want you to know that I love you and that you are the most beautiful and good mother there is. I also want to thank you for having raised us with so much love and affection, for having taught me so many principles and concepts," he dedicated to her.

The activist's eldest son, who is the mother of two others, confessed that what he wants most is for her to be released soon because he can hardly sleep since she is away and incommunicado.

"I hope you come out soon because I miss you so much that I can hardly sleep anymore and every night that you are not with me I dream of you and I don't even want to wake up. Mommy I love you with life, I love you more than anything on this planet and I hope you are with us soon," she wrote on the activist's Facebook profile.

"Your mom is the pride of Cuba today and she deserves the best in this world because she does everything so that you don't have to suffer anymore, be proud of the mother you have, we all are," the activist and reporter fromCyberCuba Iliana Hernandez.

Activist Anamely Ramos shared the emotional publication on her social networks

"This brought tears to my eyes right away. To all those who have to do with the situation of Thais Mailen, representing and doing the dirty work of the Cuban State: read this and try to find a little ethics within yourself. Keep Thais dam is a horrific injustice. We cannot allow it," wrote the art curator.

Along with Thais, other Cuban mothers will not be able to hug or kiss their children this second Sunday in May – an important tradition on the island – because they have also been detained since last April 30, when they tried to visit the artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, who He was on a hunger and thirst strike.
