Cuban actress Camila Arteche He called for "freedom, justice and light" for the island's families who are suffering from arbitrary arrests and unjust sentences following the July 11 protests.
"I have always believed that sunflowers light my way. For this reason, every week I put a fresh bouquet in a corner of the house. The last few days I have dedicated to the Cuban families who today suffer from the unjust legal penalties applied after #11J. For them I ask for freedom, justice and light," the actress wrote alongside a photo of herself with sunflowers.
The actress sent a join message and called for an end to violence and hatred among Cubans after the historic protests that shook the island on July 11.
"I feel very confused, overwhelmed, in a lot of pain and everyone has their times. And everyone is fighting from their trenches the way they are doing it and I respect that," said the also influencer.
"Let's empathize, the only way to move forward now is to look for forms of alliance, not violence. And forms of alliance between Cubans, because no one from the outside cares about what we are going through," he asked.
Arteche also asked for understanding and tolerance for those who have not wanted to speak out on the matter or for those who have done so in a way other than what is expected of them: "That is why we are fighting, for freedom of expression, for freedom of decision, "You even have to respect those who are not doing anything."
