Cuban activists for peace, democracy and human rights created the label#CubaConUcrania on Twitter and in a few hours its circulation has become a viral phenomenon on social networks.
“#CubaConUkrania is a label that in recent days has begun to circulate on social networks, especially on Twitter, through which Cubans express their rejection of the Russian invasion of that country,” the group explained this Saturday in a Facebook post.Latin Voice GY, collecting some of the comments expressed by Cubans under a label that expresses the solidarity of the Cuban people with the Ukrainian people and the rejection of the Russian invasion of that sovereign country.

“No to war or massacre,” said an Internet user, collecting in his message the feelings of the majority of Cubans who commented under the solidarity label.

The label has also captured the indignation of many with the information about the Russian invasion of Ukraine offered by the official media of the Cuban regime, a firm ally of Putin at this time, despite his efforts to maintain a low profile in his statements.
In a few hours, #CubaConUkrania garnered 500 mentions on Twitter, more than 20 thousand interactions and a spectacular reach in terms of number of users.
