Yomil explodes due to censorship in Cuba: "I am not going to leave my country"

The reggaeton player Yomil Hidalgo He assured that he is not going to leave Cuba due to the censorship to which he says he is subjected as an artist on the island, where "the situation for being allowed to sing continues to be unbearable."

"I repeat so that it can be heard loud and strong, no matter how many obstacles and censorship, I am not going to leave my country, I am from Cuba and I love my country and my people madly," he wrote in his Instagram stories.

The reggaeton singer said that if they do not allow him to continue his singing career, he will dedicate himself to being youtuber or politician, since he has "some knowledge in both" and although "it is not my thing nor do I feel like doing it," he assured that he is being "forced."

"Then I will have to continue fighting for my ideas to see if in the future the injustices and impudence will end and I can work calmly in my country," he said.

The artist also complained that, by preventing him from working, they are not only affecting him, but also the families of the 44 people who are part of his team.

Furthermore, he stressed that "the counterrevolutionaries are not the people, they are all those insensitive leaders who go around Cuba abusing power."

Yomil, who has been offering some concerts in different provinces in recent weeks, did not specify if any particular situation triggered his explosion.

Last year, he broke out on social media and denounced that It had been censored in Cuba for almost six years.

His complaint was specifically to the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), for refusing to play Yomil and El Dany's music in the island's media.

"That is why I created my own platform and special thanks to all my followers who give me their support every day, to avoid depending on mediocre media like those of the ICRT to promote my work, #fucktucensorship I am free to express and give my opinion, With all due respect, because we are in 2021, we are not in the 90s," he said at that time.
