The catastrophic damage caused by the hurricane Ian As they pass through Cuba and Florida they continue to generate displays of solidarity from many international artists.
One of those who joined the messages of support for the Cuban and American people was the singer Farruko.
On his Instagram profile, the Puerto Rican asked for prayers and help for the victims, as they did for his country last week after Hurricane Fiona.
“Let us pray for our brothers in Cuba and Florida, things are ugly. God lend your hand, Lord, and just as they went out of their way to help my island Puerto Rico, let's do it for them too,” he wrote.
Farruko stressed in his publication that “empathy is empathy when it is with everyone and for everyone, God bless them.”
In the comments, El Chulo and El Micha reacted to Farruko's message with emoticons as a sign of gratitude for his words.
Since the damage caused by Ian in western Cuba became known, several artists from the island, including Willy Chirino, Leoni Torres, Yuliet Cruz, Camila Arteche, the Los Van Van orchestra and others, They sent messages of support to the Cuban people.
The reggaeton player Baby Lores assured that he was willing to help the victims like Alexander Delgado, but the director of Gente de Zona clarified that the help is so that reaches the hands of those directly affected and not to the government.
Also from Spain, the Cuban activist, actress and editor Masiel Rubio announced a shipment of donations to those affected by the hurricane in Pinar del Río.
Ian hit southwest Florida on the verge of becoming a Category 5 hurricane, leaving devastating damage that led US President Joe Biden to declare a serious catastrophe in that state.
