Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, known as Farruko, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap singer, songwriter, and record producer born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on May 2, 1991.
Since his beginnings in 2007, he has recorded solo tracks, leaving titles like "Obsesionado" in 2015 with over 300 million views on YouTube. Farruko is globally known for his collaborations with the leading figures of the urban genre in Latin America, which quickly rise to the top of the charts and whose music videos reach millions of views on YouTube. His voice, characterized by a slight nasal quality, is perfect and effective for standing out in songs where other voices are featured.
Among her early collaborations in 2010 are "I Like Your Daughter" alongside José Feliciano and "To Break the Dancefloor" with Yomo and Daddy Yankee, with whom she has also teamed up on "We Arrived at the Disco" and in 2020 on "Relationship Remix," which also features Rosalía, J Balvin, and the Panamanian artist Sech.

In 2019, the reggaeton artist found himself in trouble with the Puerto Rican justice system after being sentenced to 16 months in prison for failing to declare over 51,000 dollars that he brought into Puerto Rico on a private flight from the Dominican Republic in April 2018. The singer pleaded guilty to these charges. After paying a bail of 100,000 dollars, he was released. He has a clause that allows him to continue his musical career while reporting his artistic tours and remains free without any legal proceedings.
In April 2020, he recorded the song Homgos in a studio, the latest single from the popular Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, whom he considers one of his greatest inspirations in music.
