Farruko

Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, known as Farruko, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton and Latin trap singer, composer, and record producer, born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on May 2, 1991.

Since his debut in 2007, Farruko has released solo tracks, including the hit "Obsesionado" in 2015, which has garnered over 300 million views on YouTube. He is globally recognized for his collaborations with leading artists in the urban genre across Latin America, quickly climbing to the top of the charts, with his music videos racking up millions of views on YouTube. His voice, characterized by a somewhat nasal quality, is perfect and effective for standing out in songs that feature other vocalists.

Among his early collaborations in 2010 are "Su hija me gusta" with José Feliciano and "Pa romper la discoteca" with Yomo and Daddy Yankee, with whom he also teamed up on "Llegamos a la disco" and in 2020 on "Relación Remix," which features Rosalía, J Balvin, and the Panamanian artist Sech.

He also has collaborations with Arcángel, De la Ghetto, and Sean Paul. In 2013, he continued to release hits like "6 AM" alongside J Balvin, which reached the top of the Latin Rhythm Airplay and Tropical Songs charts in Billboard magazine and established him within the global reggaeton scene.

In 2018, the remix of the song "Calma" together with Pedro Capó reached the top position in over 20 countries, and its music video garnered more than 2 billion views on YouTube. The song had already achieved great success with its creator, the Puerto Rican Capó. In 2019, another remix was released featuring both Pedro Capó and American singer Alicia Keys.

In 2019, he released the remix of "Rebota" alongside Nicky Jam and Becky G.

In 2019, the reggaeton artist faced legal troubles in Puerto Rico after being sentenced to 16 months in prison for failing to declare over $51,000 that he brought into Puerto Rico via a private flight from the Dominican Republic in April 2018. The singer pleaded guilty to these charges. After posting a $100,000 bail, he was released. He has a clause that allows him to continue his musical work while reporting his artistic tours, and he remains free without any ongoing legal proceedings.

In April 2020, he recorded the song "Homgos" in a studio, the latest single from the popular Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, whom he acknowledges as one of his greatest inspirations in music.

In May 2020, Ricky Martin and Farruko released the music video for the remix of "Tiburones." The video was filmed with mobile phones from their respective homes due to the quarantine.

In August 2020, the popular Cuban urban music singer Ramón Lavado, widely known as Chacal, announced that he was working on a new single and its music video featuring musicians Farruko, Ñengo Flow, and Yomo.

In 2019, alongside the Cuban DJ José García, known as IAmChino and famous for his work on tracks by Cuban-American singer Pitbull, he released the reggaeton song "Baila Riddim," which also featured collaborations from Justin Quiles and Quimico Ultra Mega.

In September 2020, she released "Perfecta," in collaboration with Luis Fonsi, which garnered over 1 million views within 48 hours.
