Likewise, he warned that these conditions may persist until next Saturday.

At the beginning of January, also in that city there were reportsstrong flooding in the town of Playa-Turey, after the Macaguanigua river overflows.

In March 2021, heavy rains caused flooding in homes located in the low areas of that town in eastern Cuba.

The rains caused the Miel River to flood, and its waters flooded part of the Bohorque area on that occasion.

Similar situation occurred in November 2020, after the passage of a cold front that caused flooding in several areas of that city.
