The cause of Schwartz's fainting has not been reported at this time.

In accordance withDaily Mail, in 2014, while working at another station, he was filling in for a colleague one day when he suddenly vomited in the middle of the broadcast.

After going to the doctor, he was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve and told they didn't know when it would wear out.

It has not been confirmed whether this recent fainting is related to those heart problems.

For his part, the vice president and news director ofCBS Los AngelesMike Dello Stritto confirmed that the driver is admitted to a hospital and is progressing well.

"I want to thank his coworkers who took immediate action to comfort Alissa and call 911. Alissa is being treated at the hospital at this time. Hopefully we will know more soon. In the meantime, he will be in our thoughts and we pray that feel much better soon," he said.
