Prepared by Cuban Television, the only legal one in the country - and in the power of the regime and the Communist Party despite its status as a public entity - the sarcastic ranking of “top ten of the most ridiculous songs of the counterrevolution” was given to meet this Thursday in spaceWith wire.
“No mention of genitals, no verse not suitable for minors. Just little birds flying. This Walt Disney facet of The Goddess deserved recognition in this top with number eight,” indicated the program host.
Following a stuffy script and lacking any grace, the presenters ofWith wireThey strove to discredit songs written by Cuban musicians against the dictatorship.
“And in case it wasn't clear to you, we were born free,” said the presenter.Michel Torres Corona at the end of the transmitted fragment of The Goddess' song.
This Friday, the popular singer referred to her inclusion in the ranking "of the most ridiculous songs of the counterrevolution."
“I am at number 8 inWith wire in Cuba on counterrevolutionary issues. “It fills me with pride,” said La Diosa in a post that in just two hours accumulated more than a thousand interactions on social networks.
Without losing her usual bitingness, the singer addressed Torres Corona to make him notice the excess adipose tissue in her abdomen.

“We were born free” was released by La Diosa on July 19, 2021, days aftermassive protests that shook several Cuban cities,and to which she and her husband joined.

His song was ranked eight on the list of songs that, according to the presenters ofWith wire, "they don't make sense, or they're very funny, or they have cringeworthy production values," and which included names like that ofDescemer Good, Kamankola, El KamelandThe Only One, among others.
It drew attention that Con Filo, which belongs to the platformCubadebate, will not include in its list “Patria y Vida”, which since its premiere in 2021 has become a symbol of the Cuban people's desire for democracy. He also left out the singer-songwriterWilly Chirino, whose work has captured the feelings of exiles like no other composer.
The exclusion, which I do not forget, is a tacit recognition of issues that, due to their quality, are a cultural reference for the cause of freedom and the end of the dictatorship on the Island.
