The Cuban singerKing RuizHe spontaneously joined a demonstration in Buenos Aires and raised his voice from Argentina, to demand the freedom of political prisoners in Cuba.
"On my trip through Buenos Aires I just found a surprise. An activity in favor offreedom of cuba and ourpolitical prisoners. Observe, “Homeland and Life”. I wanted to share with my brothers," Ruiz said on his Instagram profile.
The Cuban musician spotted the demonstration in the middle of the street and said that there were no Cuban activists, but there were many people from various origins.
"This surprised me. It is an activity that is being done in the middle of the street. There is not a single Cuban, they are all Brazilians, Argentines and people of different nationalities," said the artist.
In his message he shared a video where he shows a large poster with the faces of two of theCuban political prisoners best known internationally.
"There they are (he said pointing to the banner), those areLuis Manuel Otero Alcántara andMaykel Ososrbo, Cuban prisoners of conscience. And that is (the slogan) Patria y Vida, which we strive so hard to make people aware of. Especially in Latin America, in Argentina. "How good!" Ruiz said smiling.
King Ruiz, 56 years old, was born in the La Lisa municipality, in Havana. He said in February that he earned very little in Cuba, about 138 pesos, and never had good relations with the government. He left the island searching at the same timemoney and democracy.
The author of the remembered musical success"My half half", commented that his life in Cuba was very austere, there were shortages in the 1990s when he managed to leave the country and it was common at home to see his mother worried looking for something to feed the family.
