ACuban mother caused commotion in the group ofFacebook "I changed everything" after offering a ponytail of her hair in exchange for clothes for girls aged seven months and older or for pants and wet wipes.
The young woman, identified in the aforementioned social network as Kamila Valdés, specified in the comments section of her publication that the hair offered to sell or exchange for baby items was hers and shared another photo of her ponytail.
"Nice gesture, mommy, that says a lot about what a great mom you are."; "You are a mother in capital letters! I wish I had things from that time, my girls are grown now, but if I had it I would donate it to you...your sacrifice alone is worth it," commented two women.
At least two mothers were willing not to exchange or sell, butsimply to donate to the young girl clothes with the characteristics required by her.
"Where are you from, I have some super neat things that I can donate to you without problems. What we do for our children. I know you are a great mother. Blessings, write to me so I can send you the things," another mother noted.
The prevailing shortage in Cuba in all its forms and variants generates situations as delicate as the one described.
In recent days it was news that Cuban artistsYulier P. and Alain Rafael Dueñas, the latter residing in Argentina, started a campaign to raise funds through a raffle of works of art to buy and senddiapers and wet wipes to Cuban fathers and mothers who need these items to care for their babies.
Economic instability on the island has affected the production and availability of basic child care items in recent years, which has generated a crisis in many homes.
