The government of Havana announced the partial closure starting this Friday of 23rd Street in Vedado, one of the most important roads in the Cuban capital, for rehabilitation work on the hydraulic network.

"The Provincial Road Safety Commission of this capital reports that from today [Friday] until next Sunday, May 28, a section of 23rd Street in the municipality of Plaza de la Revolución will be completely closed for rehabilitation work. in the hydraulic network", details a note published by the local newspaperHavana Tribune.

The impact will begin at 9:00 p.m. this Friday and will extend until next Sunday, in thesection from L to J streets, in both directions of direction.

The state company Aguas de La Habana will undertake work on the capital's dilapidated hydraulic network, perhaps taking advantage of the low circulation of automobiles in the context of the current fuel crisis in the country.

The closure of 23rd Avenue this weekend will affect eight urban bus routes. The Provincial Transportation Company said that it would apply changes during those days on routes P1, P4, P5, P9, P16, 23, 55 and 222, the newspaper cited.
