The emblematic restaurant La Carreta, in Havana's Vedado, has been restored and will soon open its doors to the public, with a completely renewed image.
"At the moment we are providing services in our cafeteria, which is located next to the restaurant," they said through a post on Facebook, where they assured that the prices are affordable.

A source close to this media, who did not want to be identified, assured that La Carreta will be a location managed by a private entity, although he could not specify the official opening date or the value of the repair of a space that It ended completely in ruins.
The new restaurant stands out in the heart of Vedado with a façade that preserves the original structure, although the design is much more attractive.
Walls covered in brick, doors and windows made of wood and glass, and homogeneity with the urban environment in which it is located, are the hallmark of the establishment that is advertised on social networks as "a restaurant specializing in Cuban food."
At least since October 2021, the internet became the main space where the institutional abandonment suffered by the emblematic site was denounced on more than one occasion.
It went through different stages, including board up doors and windows to prevent entry to the ruined premises and at the end of November of last year it was learned that a brigade of builders began to demolish the walls of the restaurant; although at that time no one suspected that it was a remodeling process.
