World's largest cruise ship will sail the Caribbean in 2024

The cruise's maiden voyage will depart Miami on January 1, 2024.

He 'Icon of the Seas', the world's largest cruise ship at nearly 1,200 feet in length, will sail the Caribbean in 2024.

The channel Univision reported that the colossus, weighing 250,800 tons, will make seven-day trips through the Caribbean starting January 1 of next year.

Initially, the ship, whose construction was completed in Finland and there it underwent its first test on the high seas, will begin these trips with a maximum of 5,610 passengers.

The ship was built for the Royal Caribbean International cruise line by the Meyer Turku shipyard in that Finnish city.

Once it begins operations, it will be the largest cruise ship in the world. The construction company plans to deliver it on October 26.

With capacity for about 5,600 passengers and about 3,000 crew members and artists, the ship has 19 floors, seven swimming pools, more than 40 bars, restaurants, nightlife venues, spaces designed for passengers of all ages and entertainment for all tastes. The Icon of the Seas aims to mark a milestone in the cruise industry.

The Royal Caribbean company had said that the maiden voyage of the cruise will depart from Miami in January 2024.

The first Icon class cruise will make seven-night voyages throughout the Western and Eastern Caribbean from Miami throughout the year, the company explained.

The ship accumulates several records, including the largest water park at sea (Category 6), the largest pool on a cruise ship (Royal Bay Pool) and the first infinity pool suspended in the sea.

Vacationers will be able to book their iconic adventure on the Royal Caribbean website starting Tuesday, October 25. Crown & Anchor loyalty members will have special access on October 24.
