This year's 50 Future Stars group features 28 prospects on MLB Pipeline's recently updated Top 100 list, including the No. 1 prospect and No. 1 pick in last year's draft, the Orioles' Jackson Holliday.

Also seeing action will be five other members of baseball's top 10 prospects: Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio (3), Boston shortstop Marcelo Mayer (5), Nationals outfielder James Wood (6), D-backs shortstop Jordan Lawlar (7) and Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong (10).

Precisely, this Sunday it was learned that A total of 8 Cubans were chosen to participate in the next All-Star Game, in which from now on it will be considered a historic season for MLB fans on the island.

The two electric players of the Tampa Bay Rays, Randy Arozarena and Yandy Díaz, who, as was known yesterday, make up the starting roster of the American League by fan vote, are joined in the same league by the reliever from Avila of the Orioles Yennier Cano, and outfielders Luis Robert Jr. (CWS), Yordan Álvarez (HOU) and Adolis García (TEX), on the substitute list.

For the National, the youngest of the Gurriels, Lourdes Jr, a Diamondbacks outfielder, and Miami slugger Jorge Soler make the team as substitutes.

These 8 baseball players from the island break a historical mark of 55 years for the highest number of Cuban participation in these games, when in 1968 Joaquín Azcue, Bert Campaneris, Leo Cárdenas, Tony Oliva, Tany Pérez and Luis Tiant participated.

In total, there will be 11 players of Cuban blood in the 2023 All-Star Game, if we add the Cuban-Americans Nolan Arenado, JD Martínez and Nick Castellanos.
