Members of the Havana Fire Department put out this Wednesday afire in a building in Vedado, according to official reports.
Several commandos mobilized the day before, early in the evening, towards a building on Línea Street, between N and W, where they faced dense smoke and flames, as reported on their social networks.
“At 20:06 pm today, technicians M5 C5 were dispatched to the Line intersections between N and O, building #6, in relation to a structural fire. Upon arrival they found dense smoke and flames,” was the briefstatement posted on Facebook, where they indicated that the M5, C5, R150 and J20 commands and techniques acted in extinguishing the fire.
In the images you can see a compact black smoke emanating from the garage entrance on the ground floor of the building. At least a dozen firefighters went to the scene, although not all of them intervened in putting out the incident, judging by the photos and video published.
The statement did not report whether or not it was necessary to evacuate the residents of the property, given that the fire was not large.
In recent weeks there have been severalhouse fires in the country, many caused by explosions ofelectric mopeds.
The most tragic event occurred in the early morning of June 28, in a house in Central Havana, which burned due to the explosion of several electric motorcycles.
Prevented from leaving the house, because the fire broke out in the living room,All seven members of the family who lived there died in the accident. Two of the victims were minors: a four-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl.

That same week, the explosion of a motorbike during the early hours of the morning caused thehouse fire in the city of Las Tunas, but no victims were reported.
Last week, afire consumed a home in Santa Clara after two electric motorcycles exploded. Asimilar fact It occurred in a house in Cruces, in the province of Cienfuegos. There were no injuries in either of these two incidents.
