The National Weather Service (NWS) issued new advisories, alerts and warnings linked to the very high temperatures in several areas of Florida, where the wind chill reached values of 116 degrees Fahrenheit (46.6 degrees Celsius).

A report ofLocal 10 points out that in southern Florida, triple-digit temperatures have been recorded since last Thursday in areas of Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Likewise, the thermal sensation has been noticeably higher, with values of 116 degrees in Marathon; 108 in Boca Raton; 107 in Key West, Kendall and Delray Beach; 106 in Fort Lauderdale; 105 in Miami and Pembroke Pines; 103 in Homestead; and 102 in Hialeah.

This increases health risks and the need to take breaks tohydrate while outdoors, the NWS warns.

He explains that the heat dome moving over the United States also increased the risk of wildfires.

Likewise, the authorities have statedconcern for animal safety.

The phenomenon, in the year of El Niño, will continue to affect the country next week, so even higher temperatures could occur.

On July 11, temperaturesThey broke the maximum record in Miami after 96 degrees Fahrenheit (about 36 degrees Celsius) was reached.

"Another day, another record in Miami! Temperatures at Miami International Airport reached 96F this afternoon, breaking the previous record of 95F last set in 2010," reported the NWS Twitter account in the Florida city.

On Tuesday of last week the NWS had issued another high temperature warning, which coincided with that day's classification as thehottest in human history.

Scientists from the University of Maine's Climate Reanalyzer project explained that the global average temperature soared on Monday and Tuesday to reach unknown levels.

That day, Earth's average temperature was 17.18 degrees Celsius, or 62.9 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the University of Maine's Climate Reanalyzer, a common tool often used by climate scientists to get a sense of the state. of the world.

Tuesday's temperature was almost one degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than the average for the period 1979-2000, which in turn is warmer than the averages for the 20th and 19th centuries.

"A record like this is further evidence that global warming is pushing us toward a hotter future," which translates into brutal conditions for people around the world, said Chris Field, a climatologist at Stanford University, quoted by the AP agency.
