A security camera has captured the moment when the owners of a dog abandon her in a Miami park and leave before the animal can reach them.
A heartbreaking video shared on the "Only in Dade" Instagram account showed the moment people arrived at Athalie Range Park on Friday afternoon and took the dog out of the car and abandoned her there.
As soon as they reached the park gate, the owners slammed the door, got back in the car, and drove away.
Before she could get back to the car, it was too late: the dog ended up going through the fence and desperately searching for her owners.
According to Only in Dade, a "kind soul" rescued her and reported the abandonment to the authorities.
Now, the social media account is on a mission to find the dog a "loving forever home."
"Let's give him the love and happiness he deserves!" the account shared in a text message with the video.
If anyone can provide a safe and loving environment for the "sweet pup," Only in Dade asks that you contact its sister account @oidcares.
Thousands of people who reacted to the publication on social networks condemned the irresponsible act of the owners.
"As a loving dog mom, there is something really wrong, sick and criminal about this behavior. Any sane person could simply never do this," one person wrote.
"I don't understand how someone can abandon an animal. They should be put in jail. Don't have an animal if you can't take care of it, period!" said another.
Hundreds of dogs are left to their fate by owners who decideget rid of them.
