The Spanish singer Jose Luis Perales denied the news spread by international media about his death.
"Suddenly we meet someone who has said that I have died but I am more alive than ever," said the Spanish singer-songwriter in a video posted on Twitter from London.
ChannelsNews reports from numerous countries had echoed the false death of Perales due to a myocardial infarction.
According to the Spanish mediaThe reasonPablo Perales, the artist's son, confirmed by telephone that his father, 78, is fine and stated: "We are in London having dinner together."
In information without specifying its source, media from all over Latin America declared the singer dead.
The news spread on social networks and press agencies that dedicated tributes to the Spaniard.
"It is completely false. Please write something so that everyone knows," Pablo Perales asked the editorial team ofThe reason.
Some media outlets quickly retracted the misinformation and apologized to their readers.
