The Cuban actorErdwin Fernandez Collado criticized the recent celebration ofSanta Maria Music Fest, and in particular the presence of artists and producers from the United States.
"Cayo Santa María, citizens, North American artists, producers from Miami... almost everyone there. Only the most important and the most mentioned was missing: And Mr. Blockade? Gentlemen, I disconnect, it makes no sense," he said on your wallFacebook.
Erdwin, who resides in Miami, added that the so-called United States blockade of Cuba is for convenience and as a justification.
"If you allow on the one hand and prohibit on the other, it is not a blockade. 'Blockade is the action and effect of blocking (obstructing, intercepting, preventing the normal functioning of something, hindering the completion of a process, closing the passage).' another one doesn't even know what it is," he stressed.
The actor refused to question the Cuban artists who participated in the festival, held in the resort of the northern keys of Villa Clara.
"To the Cuban artists with whom I shared and know, if I had something to say I would do it in person. Ethics and Education, I am not going to fall into gossip, quarrels and quarrels. There is already enough garbage, gossip and mediocrity on the networks. No I'm going to be part of that," he alleged.
Dozens of Internet users commented on the publication. One of them was the announcer and presenterJunior Morales, who recently left Cuba permanently.
"The blockade is internal and only affects the people," he said.
The Santa María Cuban Fest generated controversy among Cubans, as it was considered a new attempt to whitewash the face of the dictatorship, while thousands of people are in prison for political reasons and the people live in the midst of a shortage of food and basic products.
The event wasorganized by a Cuban resident in Miami with evident connections to the upper echelons of the regime Castro, and was held in hotel facilities of GAESA, the business conglomerate owned by the Cuban military.
Although it featured popular international guest figures, such as American rappers Anonimus and Tekashi 6ix9ine, the festival showed seriousorganizational problems and poor hotel management.
Tens ofCubans reported having been scammed, because when they arrived at Cayo Santamaría with their reserves done, they found that there was an overbooking of rooms and they had nowhere to stay.
