The information was corroborated by a Spanish translator who works with Cuban emigration, who reiterated that there are many Cubans recruited by the Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) of Cuba issued this Monday aDeclaration in which he denied any link with sending young people to the war in Ukraine, although he admitted that the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) is trying to dismantle a human trafficking network for military recruitment purposes, which operates from Russia to incorporate Cuban citizens living there, and even some from Cuba.
The statement says that "attempts of this nature have already been neutralized and criminal proceedings have been initiated against people involved in these activities."
The statement did not make reference to whether it is holding talks with the Russian Government about the possible repatriation of Cubans who have been victims. of that human trafficking network.
