"We live in extremely precarious and dangerous conditions. Structures are collapsing and every day we see pieces of our homes collapsing," say neighbors.

Residents of Placetas, in Villa Clara, reported that they live in a citadel that is indanger of collapse for almost two decades without the government giving them a solution.

The group "We are all Placetas" sent this newsroom a video showing the state of deterioration of the property, where people with special needs live who areexposed to an accident.

"We are neighbors of a citadel that is on the verge of collapse and we need our voices to be heard. More than 15 years ago, this area was declared in ruins and to this day, nothing has been done about it. We live inextremely precarious and dangerous conditions. Structures are collapsing, and every day we see how pieces of our homes collapse," said the residents of the property.

For them, the most worrying thing is that therepeople with visual disabilities, the elderly, children reside and patients with mental illnesses.

The place is located on South Second Avenue, between West 2 and 3, and according to a resident who recorded the video, it is declared inrisk of collapse for about 15 or 20 years.

"It's going to fall on us," he said.

The material allows you to see thewalls eaten by humidity, floors cracked and cracked, and the ceilings that are missing pieces that have already fallen off.

"We call on local authorities and the government of Cuba to take immediate measures to solve this situation. We demand to live in a safe environment where we can enjoy the basic rights of decent housing and quality of life. (...) We need "Let our voices be heard. We cannot wait any longer, our lives are at risk!" concludes the complaint.
