A hospital in Holguín has asked a mother to bring surgical material to operate on her 13-year-old son, whoHe was born without an esophagus and has never been able to feed by mouth.

The little one, calledJordan Daniel, was born with esophageal atresia, a congenital defect of unknown cause, in which there is a lack of continuity of the esophagus, which does not allow the mouth to connect with the stomach.

As explained in hisFacebook the activistDiasniurka Salcedo Verdecia, the minor has a limited life, because in addition to never having eaten by mouth, he does not go to school nor can he interact with other children, and his body is no longer tolerating food.

"Under pressure from social networks, since his mother does not remain silent,They performed an operation on him that was a total failure., to which the mother and the child want to try again, but at the Holguín hospital they propose [that] he must bring the medical supplies to undergo surgery," he explained.

Jordan Daniel and his mom, Maydelis Solano Aliaga, live in the Siboney neighborhood, in Bayamo, Granma. She traveled with the child to Havana and took him to the William Soler hospital, where they denied him assistance because, according to what they told her, Holguín belongs and he should be treated there.

These are the supplies that Maydelis needs to provide for her son to operate:adhesive plaster, trocar, levin, probesnumbers 20 and 12, acatheter to channel deep veins, gauze, sutures with numbering 0.0, 0.1,1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and vicryl 3.0.

Besides, syringes, surgical gloves, scalpel, iodine, suspension medications to reduce fever and pain and solutionsdisinfectants for wounds.

Maydelis said in a video that her son wasoperated last January at the pediatric hospital in Holguín to perform a transplant, which was failed, and what happened afterward.

"We left the hospital for 45 days to go home to [later] try again. Those 45 days have becomemonths of waiting and complaints to various institutions and no one answers us because there are no supplies, because they have to wait, for several things," he denounced.

"We need to raise the funds to operate on Jordan, or simply aroute where we can take him to another place to be operated"he added.

In August, the case of a Cuban girl came to light who, like Jordan, cannot feed herself by mouth, since when she was two years old she accidentally took acid, and it turns out that nowIt cannot be operated on because there are no surgeons.

The minor, 11 years old, has been waiting for an operation since then at the William Soler hospital, where according to her family, she has suffered aconstant brawling on the part of the doctors.

"The doctor was blunt in front of her and told the mother: 'I was going to set a date for the operation, but three surgeons are needed and there aren't any,'" she denounced.Georgina Rosillo, the girl's great aunt.

"She sees her little brothers feeding by mouth, she sees her cousins on birthdays enjoying sweets, and what she does is stand aside in a corner and repeatedly ask her mother and my sisters when they are going to operate, and The only answer is soon," he criticized on Facebook.
