A woman and her partner found dead in Miami-Dade in an apparent murder-suicide case

Two minors found their mother and her boyfriend dead on Tuesday afternoon inside a duplex in Miami Gardens, in theMiami-Dade County.

Police are investigating what happened as a possible case ofhomicide-suicide, since the agents found a weapon at the scene, near the man involved in the shooting.

The discovery was made at a residence located in the 4500 block and Northwest 185th Street, around 2:30 pm (local time).

Authorities said the younger siblings - who are children of the deceased woman but not the man - They made the sad discovery after returning from school.

The neighborhood was cordoned off for several hours while police investigated for clues about what happened.

Neighbors were stunned to hear about the incident.

"It is awful. “It is a tragedy and will be a trauma for them for the rest of their lives.”Judy Varela, a neighbor of the family, said in statements to the local press.

Another neighbor revealed that he saw a teenager, the victim's daughter, collapse in the arms of a paramedic and tell the authorities: "I told my mother I would kill her."
