Ileana Ferrandiz revealed on Facebook the attempt by a woman to pose as a “childhood friend” with the supposed purpose of defrauding or stealing from her home and revealed that other people were victims of her actions in Arroyo Naranjo, near La Palma and Víbora Park.
The security cameras in her home captured images of the alleged scammer, a well-dressed lady, over 60 years old, at the time of her visit.
“This person came to my house posing as a childhood friend that I had not seen for many years,” Ferrandiz denounced in her publication, and described the “way of acting” of the suspicious woman.
“He tells you that he is someone you know from childhood, from a country town that you went to a lot and that we loved each other and played with each other. You tell him the name of a town, and he tells you: 'yes, that same one'; You tell her that you don't know her and she insists that you remember; You tell her a name and she says: 'that same one,'" he explained.
He said that the woman “starts talking and tells you that she has a sick brother admitted to the Calixto [Hospital Calixto García] and that he needs to save money in dollars for him, when you tell him no, he immediately says that he is leaving, he constantly manipulates the wallet ”.
Ferrandiz explained that they realized that she was lying “because the person she said she was does not have any brother,” and that they later verified that that person is dead.
“All this makes us think that this person is a thief or a scammer, luckily we have a camera in the house and we were able to verify that he was not who he said. “This person is doing this in Arroyo Naranjo, near La Palma and Víbora Park,” he concluded.
In the comments to her own publication, she assured that the woman did not scam her or rob her “because we realized that something was not correctly stated, and when I told her that I could not keep the money for her, she immediately said that she had to leave and “He almost ran away.”
Responding to one of the people who commented on the post, Ferrandiz stated that the suspect, “previously managed to scam several people,” and added: “In addition, if the person claims to be someone they are not, it is for no other reason than to achieve something.” and if it is related to money, what do you think he will want?
Likewise, she revealed that a person had already called her claiming that he had stolen more than 1,000 dollars, and she said that that woman “didn't even realize it,” because “she was preparing a briefcase with things for the supposedly admitted husband, because According to her, she had come with nothing, he stole her money.” In the comments, one person corroborated this case, stating that it was her neighbors.
Other users testified to previous scams by the woman. One indicated that “he did it to a friend's mother, and stole 200 USD from her” and another asked that they write to her “if they find her”, because in that same way she defrauded some of her neighbors' life savings. adults.
