The governor of Texas,Greg Abbott, officially declared an "invasion" of migrants on the state's southern border and blamed the crisis on the president's policies.Joe Biden.

The Republican politician announced on his Twitter account new measures to contain the massive arrival of people to the city of Eagle Pass, from Mexico.

"I officially declared an invasion on our border due to Biden's policies. We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS and local law enforcement. We are building a border wall, razor wire and sea barriers. We are also repelling the immigrants," he explained.

Due to the above, the Republican ordered the deployment of elements of the Texas National Guard, the state Department of Public Safety and local police agencies to the city of Eagle Pass, which borders Tamaulipas, with the purpose of containing the migrants.

Abbott accompanied the tweet with a letter he sent to Biden last November, in which he accuses him of failing to fulfill his constitutional duty to protect the States from the invasion of Mexican drug cartels and mass illegal immigration.

In the document, the Texan leader assures that the lack of federal policy on the border has brought catastrophic consequences, and that in the last year, more than two million migrants tried to enter illegally from more than 100 countries around the world.

"Two years of inaction on your part leaves Texas no choice but to intensify our efforts to secure our state. Your open border policies, which have catalyzed an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis, are the only reason Texas has to invoke our constitutional authority to defend ourselves," he then warned the president.
