The roots are not forgotten. Thus, one of the icons of Cuban baseball, Aroldis Chapman, makes his entrance onto the Globe Life Field in Texas accompanied by the voice of Celia Cruz, emblematic of national music.
The image moves. The great left-hander from Holguin begins his walk (and trot) towards the box and The chords of "Life is a carnival" resonate in the stadium, the famous song covered by Víctor Manuelle, La India and Ivy Queen.
At the bottom, the giant screen plays dozens of Chapman's strikeouts with deliveries at more than 100 mph, and while the infield does its routine between innings, 'El Misil' concentrates on the required warm-up.
A few seconds later, when Celia fades out on the speakers, Chapman is left perched on the mound, convinced that "there are only bad moments, and everything passes."
What do you think?
