Cuban government publishes video of attack with Molotov cocktails on its Embassy in the US

The revelation of the event was carried out by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Cuban regime, who used his X account to publish the recording.

The Cuban government published the video of alleged attack committed against its Embassy in the United States, in which an individual can be seen throwing two Molotov cocktails whose fuses he barely manages to light.

The revelation of the fact was carried out by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) of the Cuban regime, the chancellor Bruno Rodriguez Grill, who used his X account to publish the recording.

“Moment when the terrorist arrives in front of @EmbaCubaEEUU, lights the Molotov cocktails and throws them against the facade of the mission. The material was delivered to the US authorities. Original video from the camera of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Washington,” said the foreign minister.

According to the data recorded on the video surveillance camera, the events occurred shortly before 8 p.m. (7:52 p.m.). The recording shows how two people pass in front of the diplomatic headquarters and then a third person appears who carries out the act.

Protected behind two cars parked in front of the diplomatic legation, the individual crouches on the sidewalk and takes 47 seconds to light the devices, two bottles that he calmly places on the ground to light with a match, even before the eyes of a woman. that passes in front of him.

Once the Molotov cocktails are lit, he throws them against the building and turns back the way he came. The choice of flammable liquid or the use of newspaper as a wick does not seem to have been effective ideas, since none of the cocktails caused any damage or fire to the building.

This Monday, the Cuban government published several photos of its embassy in Washington hours after denouncing the alleged attack with Molotov cocktails.

Lianys Torres Rivera, Head of the Cuban Mission in the United States, shared on her Twitter account the images of the diplomatic headquarters where at least three Secret Service agents went.

“There was no fire or significant damage to the building”, declared this service to American media that reported the event, which occurred shortly after 8 pm (local time) on Sunday.

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, said Monday that someone had thrown a "suspected incendiary device" at the building. The version of the event offered by the Cuban authorities indicated that the diplomatic legation had been hit by two Molotov cocktails, as could be seen in the images.

According to Gugliemi, no one is in custody at this time and they are working closely with embassy officials, DC police and the US State Department on the investigation.

However, for the ruler Miguel Diaz-Canel, this “act of violence and impotence could cost valuable lives”. Faithful to the rhetoric of his "continuity", the designated successor blamed the authorship of the alleged attack on the "haters", the name with which the regime identifies its detractors.
