The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (MINREX) is responsible for the international relations of the Government of Cuba. The Council of State appoints the minister as well as the six deputy ministers who oversee the various departments of the ministry. The mansion that serves as the headquarters of the MINREX was formerly owned by the Gómez-Mena family.
