Known as "Mr. Oriole" for his 23 seasons in a Baltimore team uniform, Robinson was an 18-time All-Star,MVP of the American League in 1964 and the 1970 World Series, won two championship rings (1966 and 1970), hit 268 home runs and drove in 1,357 runs.
'The human vacuum cleaner', as they also called it, managed16 consecutive Gold Gloves, the most for any position player in history and second overall, behind Greg Maddux's 18.
In 1983 he entered the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, being thefirst third baseman drafted in his debut yearon the ballots.
