Reports from other journalists and media corroborate the avalanche of immigrants through that area of theUS border with Mexico.
“There is no law enforcement on either the Mexican side or the US side. This is Piedras Negras, where thousands are entering freely,” said reporter Auden Cabello, who has published several videos on X from Eagle Pass.
“Migrants cross on International Bridge 2 and surrender at night and day. Many arrive walking in stocking shoes, in temperatures that exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with almost no belongings,” details a report fromTelemundo 51, with images that show the worsening of the migration crisis in that border area.
The note testifies that "groups with small children, some still in arms and in diapers, are grateful for being alive because it says that there were moments where they feared they would die by drowning in the Rio Grande."

In those same days, the governments ofThe US and Mexico reached an agreement to confront the crisis on the border that they share in the face of the massive influx of migrants from Central and South America.
