Massola was invited to the influencer's programAlex Otaola. There he referred to the displeasure he had after learning of the regime's project to hold anew edition of the elitist picnic Le Dîner en Blanc, while the people have no food.
He pointed out that there are many Cuban actors and musicians who"they walk the red carpet" of the government, thinking that this will make them popular, but the only thing they achieve is to play along with the regime, and "support the dictatorship."
"That bothers me a lot. I can't invite anyone (to protest) because this is not a party. Here, anyone who doesn't have timpani to raise their voice is screwed and one day it will be known," said Massola.
"I'm going to say a special message to the actors: Stop eating so much shit and don't walk on that red carpet anymore, for the salary they are paid. Say what you think! Down with the dictatorship," he expressed.
The actor said that his cousin in the United States, Eduardo Massola (Edith Massola's brother) has put him on humanitarian parole to get him out of the country.
He explained that recently a Cuban producer had invited him to work on a video clip and a few days later they canceled the proposal due to his political ideas. "I didn't tell him anything because he's an asshole," he commented on the "coward" who eliminated his contract.
He referred to the difficulties that the people experience every day due to the economic measures of the regime that have led to more misery, more poverty and more crises. "They have created a banking system that is a bastardization," said the artist.
"Here is a group of old people who are suffering misery. The old people are dying of hunger, walking around looking like zombies," he commented.
The actor recently acknowledged feeling censored in Cuba, accused of exercising his freedom of expression, andestranged from his cousin, the actress and presenter Edith Massola, for having different political ideas.
"We were like flesh and blood. We loved each other very much. She was the little sister I never had. And now she has turned her back on me, she doesn't talk to me. I call her on the phone and she doesn't treat me," he explained.
These confessions came after a video where the actor said thatunplugged the refrigerator at home because he has no food and he especially regretted that his 83-year-old mother is suffering from this crisis.
"I know perfectly well that I am not the only one, that there are many people in my situation and worse, but who have had to disconnect the refrigerator from the power because they did not have anything to put in food, who have to eat three pieces of sweet potato and also, giving them to my 83-year-old mother without milk, not even an egg," he lamented on Facebook.
