Silver in Basque pelota closes the Pan American medal table for Cuba

Cuba added its 69th medal after the silver of the pelotaris Daniela Darriba and Wendy Durán, who lost 2-0 to the representatives of Mexico in the women's frontenis.

The match dominated by the Mexicans with a score of 2-0, had partial scores of 15-6 and 15-8.

In the qualifying phase, the Mexican duo had also been victimizers of the Cubans.

With this result, the Cuban delegation, which also participated in the skating race this Sunday, says goodbye to Santiago 2023 in thefifth position frommedal table with30 gold metals, 22 silver and 17 bronze.

Andfifth place disputed with Colombia until the last date, but cannot deny the potential of other delegations in this event, such as Colombia itself and the host Chile, who achieved more medals, in their totals, than Cuba.
