They report the disappearance of a Cuban who left Cuba heading to Nicaragua with a stopover in the Dominican Republic

The Cuban left the island on November 9.

A Cuban woman asked for help fromMexico to try to find the whereabouts of her husband, who ismissing since November 9.

It is assumed that that day the migrant - whose name was not specified by his partner - took a flight from the airlineSky High with a stopover in the Dominican Republic and final destination in Managua, Nicaragua. However, the wife is not aware that he has even arrived in the Dominican Republic, much less in Nicaragua, since she never heard from him again.

“Nothing is known about him yet. We don't know what could have happened to him. The anguish kills us and the Cuban airport does not want to give any information because they say it is confidential information. I do not know what else to do", Migdelys explained through tears instatements sent to journalist Mario J. Pentón.

The woman explained that the ticket was sold to her partner by a person who was from the La Guernica district, Camagüey.

"But we can't find that person who sold him the ticket. According to my husband, he would make the trip with a sister of that man and her husband. They would come together and they would have everything arranged: taxi, coyotes and everything."Migdelys said.

The woman says that she had contact with her husband for the last time when he was at the airport in Cuba - she did not specify which one - about to make thecheck-in to travel to Nicaragua after passing through the Dominican Republic.

“He said goodbye to me and I didn't hear anything more about him.”concluded the visibly affected woman, while begging for help to try to at least find the person who sold the ticket to her husband.

Unfortunately, in the midst of the acute migration crisis of the last two years, there are already several cases of Cubans who have disappeared in different phases of their journey by land.

However, what is striking in this case is that - according to the testimony of the migrant's wife - there is no evidence that he arrived in Nicaragua by air.
