"Virgen Mambisa", composed by Rogelio Zelada and Orlando Rodriguez, is a song that has accompanied many generations of Cubans and “has become a prayer of love, peace and freedom.”

Once again music is once again the vehicle to express the feelings of thousands of Cubans in exile who want the freedom of their country, and what better way than singing to the Patroness of Cuba.

Every year the Cuban community in Miami comes to the Hermitage of Charity to show their devotion to the Virgin. On September 8, the sanctuary welcomed several Cuban artists in exile in a artistic vigil dedicated to the Virgin of Charity.
