A Cuban mother He shared a moving letter written by his son, where the boy recognizes the efforts his family is making to get ahead in the harsh crisis and food shortage in Cuba.
"I wish you were here to study, but I know that you work hard so that we have something to eat every day," says the little boy's message.
The Facebook user Alexei Yossy Tamayo Gómez, showed the letter in the group Cuban Mothers for a Better World. He said it was written by the oldest of his three children, a 10-year-old boy.
"I wanted to share the letter so they can see why we have to move forward and draw strength from where we don't have it, just for them. Our children are aware of how we sacrifice. Don't give up, moms!" said the woman.
The letter was written and signed on December 2 in Havana, by a boy named Javier, resident in the Boyeros municipality.
The little boy tells his mother how his academic preparation for the end of term exams is going. He confesses that he would like her to spend more time at home playing with him and his brothers, but he understands that she has to work to put food on the table every day.
"You are a super mom," Javier tells his mother and then details what powers this woman has:
- Super hearing: to hear "the sorrows and hopes of your children."
- Super heart: "as big as the universe to give love to its children."
- Super strength: Because "he sacrifices himself every day for those he loves."
These are, according to the child, the powers that make his invincible and unique. Cuban mother.
