For the fourth consecutive year, thousands of Cuban families will have to give up the traditional New Year's Eve dinner due to the prohibitive prices of pork.

The 10-pound package of boneless pork chops also retails for $10,700; and even the reduction does not go below $2,600 pesos per four pounds.

The Cuban population says they feel suffocated by the galloping increase in inflation on the island.
