Ricardo Montaner temporarily retires from the stage: "I'm going to leave but I'm going to return"

Singer Ricardo Montaner puts his musical career on pause for an indefinite period of time.


Ricardo Montaner is putting his musical career on pause. A temporary and indefinite retirement that he announced a few weeks ago. The "see you soon" was given at his concert in the Dominican Republic, where the singer of Venezuelan origin said goodbye to his audience, assuring that he will return.

"I'm going to miss you. I'm going to leave for a while but I'm going to return. May God bless you. Thank you for accompanying me until this moment", he said during his last show in the Caribbean country, with which he closed his I miss you Tour.

The 66-year-old singer announced this temporary retirement at a concert in Costa Rica a few weeks ago. Then he explained who had been on tour for more than 30 years and had never stopped.

"I think it's time for me to dedicate myself to writing, recording, planting flowers", he said then, adding that he looks forward to playing his role as a grandfather. Ricardo Montaner's break is indefinite.

"I don't know when I'll be back," he added when making this announcement to his followers.

The interpreter of "So in love" has a beautiful family with his wife Marlene Rodríguez Miranda. With her he has three talented children: Mau, Ricky and Evaluna, who like him are dedicated to the world of music.

In addition, Montaner is the father of two other children, Héctor and Alejandro.
