Two elderly women were trapped after the partial collapse of their home this Wednesday in the city ofMatanzas, as reported on social networks by the official press.

The partial collapse affected the living room of the house. The elderly women waited in one of the rooms of the building for the firefighters to intervene.

After the entrance to the home was cleared, SIUM medical personnel evaluated the physical condition of both older adults. So far no other details of the event have emerged.

The news has been received with astonishment by Internet users who insist on emphasizing thatIt is inevitable that collapses will increase, taking into account the construction status of many buildings throughout the country.

It is not the first time in recent years that a similar incident has occurred in the city of Matanzas. In June 2022 thePartial collapse of a house left two elderly people momentarily trapped who, despite the enormous scare, managed to be rescued safely by the firefighters.

In that case, the event occurred on Milanés Street between Mujica and San Gabriel, when a collapse occurred in the front and ceiling of the living room of the house.

In another incident that occurred around the same dates, thepartial collapse of the roof of a house in Matanzas left trapped to several members of a family for several hours. Fortunately, in that case, the victims of the collapse managed to be rescued safely after the removal of debris, which prevented them from leaving the room where they were at the time part of the house collapsed.
